Day 16

I love my Bible collection.

So I have always enjoyed Bibles, but recently I became fancinated with Bibles and the stories they could tell. So I have started a little collection. My hope is to one day write a whole series of novellas about people and their Bibles.

For now though, I just enjoy them.

Simply Give

Sometimes we can get so caught up in our own schedules and our own to do lists that we forget to contribute.
I know that for me, I've been struggling with giving back to my family lately. Now that my life has calmed down a little bit. I want to give back to them.
Why don't we take some time today and show them how much we care. Make a meal without being asked. Write a note to family member. Or just listen to them. Let them know you care.
It's a simple powerful way to impact their lives.

Simply Broken

Okay so I have been writing here on the blog about getting off your laptop and living.
God has a sense of humor because I broke my laptop this week. This forced me to cut down my computer time (as I have to use another laptop to get online) and slow down from my hectic pace.
It's been an interesting week and I didn't realize quite how much a use and depend on my laptop until it was gone.
So while I wait for it to be fixed (thankfully it was just a screen issue) I'm learning to enjoy time with family without a laptop to distract me and hours of time to work on projects that have been neglected.
God is good and He keeps making Himself real in simple, lovely ways.

Simple Plans

Only plan what you can do in a day.
You only have so much physical, spiritual, and emotional energy to give in a day.

Know your limitations and plan accordingly.
Overworking won’t help anyone, namely you.
Just do what you can and leave the rest to take care of itself.

Simple Hindrances

Some things and convinces, like the internet and my house, give me the freedom follow God even more closely. They also can become substitutes, but only of I over-indulge myself on these things.

If I only take enough and then let the rest go, these things can be helpful tools. Otherwise they become distractions. Use them as helpful gifts, but don’t let them control you.
