Thank you friends so much for your love and prayers.
My Granddad died today. We will be headed up for the funeral soon.
I'm pained, but I'm not crushed. I'm hurt, but not beyond repair. I'm weary, but I know I'll be strong again.
God is good, I'm never alone.
Love and hugs to all, Rose

Simple Hurt
Okay I know that you would never guess from some of my more recent posts, but I'm hurting. It's been a rough week for our entire family. My Granddad is dying. They have given him just days to live.
Needless to say this is hard on all of us.
I'm worried and running around trying to keep myself busy. Sometimes it's just a way of doing something so that I don't have to think about the worry and the pain.
Then whenever I slow down enough to really think, God whispers that it will be all right. He will be with me. Everything will work out. All things work out for the good.
As I listen, my heart becomes lighter. I'm able to work with a spring in my step. I may be hurting, but I know that God and I will get through it together. I'm never alone, and that makes all the difference.

Simple Night
I am out on the porch. It’s a starlit night.
The wind seems
to whisper peace.
The stars shine hope.
God is near.
I can hear His voice.
Life
is beautiful.

Simply Lovely
As girls we often obsess about beauty. We want to be
fashionable (modestly of course). We want to have it, but it many seems to
elude us. The perfect outfit won’t come together. The best make-up seems to
never work right. We never look as good as the model.
But do we have to?
Sometimes I even get stung by this bug. I try to fix my hair just right. I try
to be stylish. I try make myself feel beautiful.
Yet beauty doesn’t come from
the outside. I’ve seen beauty in an old woman’s eyes and in a small girls
hands. Beauty doesn’t come from your outfit or looks. It comes from your heart.
Does that mean we should neglect the outside? No, the outside merely reflects what’s
on the inside. So take care of both. Beautify the inside and take care of the
outside. Let them both reflect a heart that has been touched by the love of
God.

Simple Priorities
Have some simple priorities and make sure that your life
reflects these.
If God is at the top of your list, make sure that He has the
first say in everything that you do. And so on. If family comes before work
(job, blogging, home business, etc.) make sure that you make time for them
ahead of work.
Sometimes it helps to write about a list of your priorities from
most to least important. Then write out a list of specific ways that you can
live out these priorities.

The Simple Dance
Dancing. Oh, the joy it brings. To feel the freedom, the
excitement, and the beauty it brings. I love dancing. Whether hip-hop, waltz,
pop, contra, square, or freestyle I love it all. When I dance I feel alive.
You know the times when I feel the best? When I’m dancing
with my Abba. Sometimes we dance slowly, sometimes we dance fast. Sometimes we
are in-between. But when we dance, the world and its problems fade away.
Concerns and cares fall of my shoulders. All I care about is my Daddy, looking
into His eyes, and feeling His touch. We don’t even need to talk; all we need
to do is to be together.
Dancing requires slowing down. Dancing means you stop and
focus on your partner. Dancing makes you forget about everything except Him.
I know this may sound too dreamy to be real, but trust me. I
have danced with God many times. It’s the one of the most beautiful things we
do together.
Take some time. Dance with Abba. Let Him love you. Open your
heart and just let Him be there. He longs to sweep you off your feet.

Simply Live
Live out what you know to be true. Instead of taking a
class, reading another book, or getting more head knowledge do what you know is
right, go do what you know is right.
It’s easy to know the right thing to do.
It’s another to live it out.
Simply live what you know God is calling you to
do. Leave the rest in His hands.
